The Little Sunbeam
Look, there is a little sunbeam walking, in the streets of Rome? But where is the moongirl Zima? The Little Sunbeam follows her to earth. In his search for her he lives to see many adventures...and many enchanting encounters. But often he is just asthonished - of man, of course. He questions mans behaviour, for example, why does a man, sitting oposite a women in a cafe, to mobile telefones? And why throws a boy with spaghetti at him, talking about the mafia...and shortly after that, walks with him side by side to a pizzeria? The Little Sunbeam searches on, searches for the beautiful moongirl Zima, even if it is hard for him, because humans seem to only rush about in daily life. But his enchanted childlike mind, touched by a magical life between the stars, will touch young and old, and will bring out the inner child in each of our souls.
Malle Stumbling-John
Malle a little ring-oused bird is full of empathy for the world and its people, and tries his best to please his surroundings. But the people of his town and his family are teasing him, because he stumbles through life, and because of his impractical nature. Malle feels very alone, and it is only the sound of the sea keeping him company. One magical night he hears a lovely voice far up in the trees and he listens to it the entire night. He finds out it is the lovely ring-oused bird Nadira who sang so beautifully. They fall in love and they promise to be with each other forever, and shortly thereafter, they are blessed with children. His impractical nature proofs to be a handicap, when it comes to care for the children, fore he cannot enter the hole of his home in the tree to feed them. One day, Nadira flies away to gather food, but falls into the hand of Grollan, a brutal feather trader. Unhappy about Nadiras feathers, Grollan throws her against a rock where she now lies hurt. When Nadira doesn't return, Malle's heart bleeds with sorrow, and he seeks out the wise owl Murun for help. The owl tells him to go to the old oak tree, and rub his beak on the oak, all night long. So Malle does as he was told, and although the pain feels like a thousand tiny needles, he continues to rub. To his surprise, the next morning he discovers that his beak has become so long he can pass food to his starving children without entering the tree. Malle is thankful that his children are well now, but his heart is heavy over the loss of Nadira. So he flies to the top of their tree and sings a song about the love of his life. The song, however, is so beautiful and tender, that the hurt Nadira awakens and finds her way back home to Malle and her children.
